KINGMAN TURQUOISE

The Kingman Turquoise mine, operated by the Colbaugh family in Arizona, is the last remaining commercially producing Turquoise mine in the United States. Evidence suggests Turquoise was mined in the surrounding areas dating as far back as 600 AD.
This is a “composite” stone made from Kingman Turquoise and Bronze. The scrap pieces left from cutting cabochons are combined in resin with Bronze and pressurized into slabs by the Kingman Turquoise Mine. It is a great way to use all of the turquoise and spiny oyster so that nothing is wasted.
